What She’s Passionate About

Synthesizing complex ideas into compelling messages and visuals that create clarity, inspire teams to action, and ultimately make life-at-work better.

Professional Experience

During 10 years at TiER1, Abby has guided organizations and teams through strategic transformations—from culture shifts to software implementations and process changes—all using clear communication, leadership alignment, and optimized training to design experiences that change behaviors, smooth employee transitions, and enable great work. Bringing deep expertise in marketing communications, writing, and editing, Abby loves creative collaboration, crafting eloquent key messages and taglines, and “namestorming” to capture the heart of critical organizational initiatives.

Previous Roles

After graduating from Smith (the nation’s first “Seven Sister” women’s college), Abby joined the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, an economic development nonprofit, where she crafted communications strategies and solutions to promote the Pittsburgh region for business investment and job creation. She also served as associate producer of “Our Region’s Business,” a weekly WPXI-TV (NBC affiliate) show, as well as marketing and PR program lead for the ATHENA Awards of Greater Pittsburgh.

Abby is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh Inc.’s Leadership Development Initiative, Class XVI and a Pittsburgh Magazine “40 Under 40” awardee.
