Alex is passionate about simplifying the complex through clear language and thoughtful word choices.

What He Brings to the Table

Alex has eight years of content writing experience spanning the nonprofit, online media, and business-to-business marketing worlds prior to attending graduate school. In graduate school, he focused on technical writing (stepwise documentation of processes), layout and design (Adobe InDesign) and science and healthcare communications. He also has experience writing scripts and producing video.

His Grit and Determination

When Alex lived in Chicago, he took the initiative with a group of his friends to write, produce, and film a public access television show. The process took two years, but they never lost their sense of fun when producing something that was purely experimental.

Basic Needs

Alex can't live without a good bike or a comfortable pair of walking shoes—he prefers to travel in ways that let him observe where he's going and what it takes to get there.

Community Partnership

For over a year, Alex worked pro bono for a nonprofit in Chicago dedicated to fostering a love of reading and writing in Chicago Public School students, and even edited and produced a book about monster stories written by students as part of a yearlong book project for this organization.

Family Matters

Alex lives in Pittsburgh with his dog, Skip, a German Shepherd mix who loves nothing more than laying on his bed and grumbling whenever Alex has to take him outside to walk!
