In addition to being a Mercury advisor, Elaine Suess is the founder and president of Beyondbeing LLC, an executive coaching company that helps leaders maximize their performance and success. After years spent in sales, marketing, management, and consulting, Elaine became a Professional Certified Coach and a Leadership and Talent Management Coach in 2008. Her corporate experience and certifications inform her work, but her ability to help leaders overcome barriers and uncover blind spots defines her work. Elaine’s advising creates transformational shifts for people at work and at home.
Elaine focuses on helping leaders “sharpen the saw” so they can achieve positive, lasting growth for themselves, their people, and their organizations. She utilizes an action learning sequence with clients, which includes setting goals, gathering information, experimenting with new approaches, and reflecting on the experiences in order to scaffold learning into continuous growth and improvement loops.
Elaine has worked with leaders in verticals such as manufacturing, IT, and healthcare, as well as with higher education, non-profits, and more. Her coaching and group workshops involve self-examination, insight, and reflection that bring about epiphanies for growth and increased team cohesion. At the heart of all her work is a desire to help leaders build skills and habits that improve performance, drive accountability, enhance relationships, and introduce new ways of seeing and responding to the world. Elaine is a great coach for performance based, positive, strengths-focused individuals.
Outside of work, Elaine uses her gifts to engage the community. She has held volunteer leadership roles at Impact 100, Women Helping Women, and St. Vincent de Paul. She is also the local chapter chair of the Women Presidents’ Organization. When she’s not working in the community, Elaine can be found spending time with her goddaughter Gabi or trotting the globe with her wife (some of their favorite destinations are Egypt, Istanbul, and Croatia).
