An Unlikely Path
Before joining the TiER1 team, Joe spent the first decade of his career as a performer and professional drummer touring the US and Europe. Joe still has a passion for big band drumming; in his free time, you can see him performing with the Flying Circus Big Band.
His Professional Experience
Joe has 15 years of experience in the classroom as a music teacher. He specialized in blended instruction using video lessons as well as focusing on problem-solving and collaboration. Joe also spent two years as an education consultant, focusing on the effective use and integration of technology in schools.

Joe’s left-handed, but he plays the drums, bass, and guitar right-handed.
