With a strong “C” DiSC profile, Joe is often more passionate than he would like about getting down into the details. Rarely satisfied with the status quo, Joe frequently finds himself exploring new, and better ways of doing things, designing, and building new tools or improving existing processes to minimize his team’s time spent on rudimentary steps, enabling them to instead maximize their time spent applying their true talents and passions. He is uncertain how he should feel about his enjoyment of Microsoft Excel.
Before joining TiER1 in 2024, Joe’s career revolved around the automotive industry, particularly in the areas of Financing and Learning & Development. Starting as a project manager, Joe also learned many of the ins and outs of L&D project management, especially those regarding the nuances of statements of work, financial metrics and data-driven decision making. Through his International Business undergraduate and Master’s in Management graduate studies, Joe had the pleasure of studying in China, Japan, India, and London, and interning in Beijing for a summer.
Joe has built a home with his wife and son in Pennsylvania. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Joe appreciates visiting whenever he can because the starkly contrasting scenery provides a nice hard reset when he feels idle in Pennsylvania.
In his free time, Joe likes getting some sun, fresh air and music-listening time by hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, or going for a drive on country roads. His greatest weakness (or strength) is his inability to sit still. To relax and reflect, Joe likes reading a good sci-fi or thriller novel, getting lost in an adventure movie, or getting lost in his own thoughts by journaling.
Joe’s favorite quotes are “Who Dares Wins”, the British Special Air Service motto, and “Don’t take it personally. Just take it seriously.” from Gordon Ramsay.
