Laurel is passionate about communicating the "why" through storytelling.
Laurel has a master's in Human Resources and Industrial Relations and has been able to wear multiple hats within HR. She started her career as an HRBP before shifting her focus to Employee Experience and Organizational Development. Laurel's favorite projects have been centered on driving organizational culture change, designing and implementing full end-to-end talent processes, and developing key messages for global change initiatives.
Laurel's fascinated by the unique qualities that everyone brings to the table. In a team setting, she enjoys learning about each other's strengths and how they can work together to make the group-work more impactful and fun. During an undergrad internship, Laurel created her own (low budget) strengths assessment for herself and the other interns to take. This helped them to collaborate more effectively and was also a great way to learn more about each other. This also shows up when Laurel's communicating key messages to different stakeholders - she tries to tailor her message or delivery in a way that makes sense for the audience. Overall, Laurel loves to know what makes you YOU!
Laurel can't live without long walks and podcasts.
Laurel's favorite book is All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. It's a tear-jerker, but beautifully written!
