Leah is passionate about creating connectivity in the workplace and figuring out what makes people tick. She enjoys sorting through chaos to find a solution.
Leah grew up in Chicago but was drawn to the climate and culture of New Orleans for college. She graduated from Tulane University where she majored in Psychology and Business Management. During the summer of 2020, Leah wanted to find a way to help her community during the pandemic and decided to work for CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort), where she was the logistics manager for a COVID mobile testing site on the south and west sides of Chicago. Following that summer experience, as our worlds went virtual, she was hired as a part-time virtual office assistant for a learning behavioral specialist in Chicago where she conducted parent intakes and oversaw all administrative tasks. Leah loved this job because it allowed her to apply her psychology curriculum to real life and help parents find the best support for their children.
Leah can’t live without her weighted blanket, boxing gloves, noise cancelling headphones, or Law and Order: SVU.
Leah loves her family and doesn’t go a day without talking to at least one of them. She has two amazing parents, Marilyn and Jonathan, two brothers (one older and one younger), and the most amazing cat, Don Marcus.
“I learn from everybody, even if it's sometimes what not to do"- Abraham Lincoln
Leah loves this quote because her life has been an accumulation of lessons she’s learned from others (family, friends, strangers). This quote is a good reminder that you should take in as much as you can because you never know what lessons might be useful to you in the future.
