What She’s Passionate About
Turning strategy into results by focusing on people. She’s passionate about applying brain-based principles to behavior change and helping employees deliver business value through exceptional performance.
An Unlikely Path
Leia worked within Accenture’s Talent and Organizational Performance practice for over a decade and traveled the globe providing cutting-edge, people-centric solutions for some of the world’s largest companies. Leia spent most of her career helping companies build internal change management capabilities with the idea of making change management “good management.” Leia is skilled in supporting companies align strategy, culture, and values; implementing new operating and engagement models; and executing mergers, acquisitions, and integrations.
A Globetrotter
While Leia was planning her wedding (years ago), she was working on a project that sent her to the Middle East for 10 weeks. Leia lived in Dubai and Kuwait and visited Guantanamo Bay twice for this same project. For another client and an entirely different project, Leia traveled to Bali, Indonesia and got to visit a sea turtle hatchery. She even released some into the ocean.
She’s Not All Business
Leia has two kids, Connor and Kate. “My kids are my everything,” says Leia. “I love being a role model for them and showing them the value of hard work. I’m a full-time working mom and still have time to help them with their homework, class projects, teach them how to live a healthy and active life, and more.”
Where She’ll Surprise You
Leia is a very active person. She has run three marathons (Chicago twice and New York once), has competed in numerous triathlons – with one being the world’s highest triathlon at 9,000ft above sea level. She has also biked across the Rockies, completing 90 miles and 10,000 feet of climbing in a single day.
Fun Fact
Leia was a foreign exchange student in Vienna, Austria and is fluent in German.
