Creating the conditions necessary for leaders to do the inner- and outer-work of transformation.
For over a decade, Nick has woven his empathetic sensing, his ability to track the "invisible" dynamics within organizations, and his passion for designing whole-system experiences into rewarding work with leaders looking to transform their companies. He got his start as an innovation strategy consultant, collaborating closely with clients to devise growth strategies and develop capabilities to support innovation. Later, Nick transitioned into a more formal capacity as an agent of change when he joined Johnson & Johnson. There, he supported the launch of an innovation accelerator charged with translating breakthrough science into potential products that could change the landscape for disease prevention. Today Nick leads Innovation internally at TiER1 as well as supporting clients in reimagining their own ways of working to design more freedom into how they operate. Nick holds an MS in Positive Organizational Development and Change from Case Western Reserve University and brings these lenses of innovation, culture, and positive psychology into much of his ways of being.
Nick loves working with bold visionaries with radical visions for more equitable, just, and inclusive systems. One such visionary is Fernande Raine who is the Executive Director of Got History? and her vision is to reimagine history education as authentic and engaging youth-led projects. She weaves local collaborative teams and incubates youth action for better history so that democracy can thrive. Former co-conspirators in a previous life, Nick (as Board Member) works with Fernande to support this exciting and important movement for change.
