Community Partnership
Newnan, Georgia, was hit with a EF4 tornado in the Spring of 2021. Steve worked with all aspects of the community to help rebuild and recover some of the 2,200 homes impacted He says it's been hard work but is also very rewarding.
An Unlikely Path
Steve's area of emphasis in college was Healthcare, so he started his career working at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. His favorite project there was deploying two robots that would make deliveries of supplies and food at all hours of the day. The robots could navigate the entire hospital, stop at nursing stations, and even call the elevators on their own.
Fun Facts
Steve studied film in college as part of his minor and has been hooked on movies ever since. He has a huge collection of films in many physical formats—the largest part of his collection is his more than 2,500 titles of LaserDiscs (you have to be a little older to remember those shiny 12-inch discs). At one point, he had a home theater design company that created screening rooms for clients in North Atlanta.
