Tracy is passionate about using stories to change behavior and organizational culture.
Tracy has spent the last 10 years using stories and narratives to change the culture of medicine. She most recently led the Center for Healthcare Narratives at the MedStar Institute for Quality and Safety where she was able to create a portfolio of content around high reliability organizations and just culture, as well as launch an online literary magazine to elevate the voices of vulnerable populations and those who care for them. Prior to that, she spent 10 years in the biotech industry with roles of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and global strategy. She is a writer and filmmaker, who recently completed an MFA in Creative Writing at the University of California-Riverside, and also holds an MS in Sports Psychology focused in behavior change and performance enhancement. Tracy lives next door to her brother and his family in St. Charles, IL with two crazy puppies, Scout and Theo.
Launching an online literary magazine and coaching writers from all over the world on how to craft their best health-related stories has been a highlight of her career to date.
Tracy recently started volunteering at a Thoroughbred Rescue facility and has not only fallen in love with horses but has also taken on another vulnerable population to protect through stories!
Tracy is a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and even purchased World Series tickets in 2016 to Games 1, 5, and 7 which she attended with her brother, sister, and parents.
Tracy was in the movie "A League of Their Own".
