EXLEARN 2024 was an unforgettable experience, and we’re grateful to everyone who came along for the ride. Whether you joined us in person at Cincinnati’s Great American Ball Park or virtually for our online sessions, EXLEARN 2024 was packed with energy, learning, and meaningful connections. This year’s theme of Lift People Up was intentionally woven into every facilitated keynote, workshop, and conversation to remind us of our unique ability to positively impact our organizations and communities.
EXLEARN In-Person: Soaring in Cincinnati
Hosted at Cincinnati’s iconic Great American Ball Park September 25-26, EXLEARN 2024 featured insightful sessions and engaging hands-on activities. Attendees explored new ideas, connected with peers, and even took a few swings in an MLB batting cage!
Attendees learned from industry leaders, including:
- Megan Torrance, TorranceLearning CEO and eCornell Facilitator, shared strategies on learning engineering and organizational performance.
- Malaika Vaz, National Geographic Explorer and CEO of Untamed Planet, and Annie Agone, Director of National Geographic Society’s Storytellers Collective, spoke on leveraging the power of storytelling to create change.
- April Joy, Navigate NXT CEO, and Carla Messer, BestWork Chief Results Officer, delivered a powerful message on leading with resilience.
- Brad Beacom, Vice President and Global Senior Systems Consultant for MUFG, focused on leadership in technology and global systems.

EXLEARN Virtual Event: Taking Learning to New Heights
We took EXLEARN 2024 to new heights on Oct. 10 with a streamlined half-day virtual event to bring the same energy and insights to virtual learners. The virtual experience was dynamic, interactive, and filled with valuable takeaways. “All three speakers were PHENOMENAL. Great energy, great knowledge, applicable insights and experiences shared,” shared one virtual attendee.
Virtual attendees enjoyed keynotes and workshops from industry experts, including:
- Megan Torrance, who once again shared her expertise in organizational learning and performance optimization.
- Storytelling pros Frayn Masters, BACKFENCE Storytelling Host and Artistic Director, and Tim May, XPLANE Creative Director, led an interactive workshop on crafting compelling narratives that inspire action.
Attendees also engaged in team-building activities and gamification challenges and connected with peers through our virtual collaboration space.

Although our EXLEARN 2024 journey has come to an end, the connections and lessons we’ve gained will continue to lift us up. We are especially grateful for all the speakers, sponsors, and attendees, as well as the incredible EXLEARN crew, who made this year’s event so special. Together, we played games, shared stories, made new friends, and—most importantly—learned how to create meaningful change in our organizations by lifting others up.
