Introducing The TiER1 Story Board: A Thread for Book-loving Leaders

Join us on social media to discuss the latest books on people and performance!

by TiER1 Performance

Do you love leading authors, thought-provoking conversation, and new ideas about people and performance? If the answer is yes, you’ll love the TiER1 Story Board: A Thread for Book-loving Leaders. This new social-media-based book club will highlight books (and authors) sharing new ideas about people and performance.

The TiER1 Story Board is everything you love about book club – community, connection, reading – in an asynchronous format. Each season, TiER1 will announce the Story Board book pick on social media. Throughout the quarter, we’ll host discussion threads under the hashtag #TiER1StoryBoard to go deeper on key insights and foster connection and community. We’ll also be sharing a few original “extras” each month to help you get the most out of the book – these might take the form of author interviews, discussion guides, interactive worksheets, and more!

The Spring 2021 Story Board Pick

We’re excited to announce that our inaugural TiER1 Story Board book pick is Design Thinking For Training and Development by Sharon Boller and Laura Fletcher!

In Design Thinking for Training and Development, Boller and Fletcher share how they adapted the traditional design thinking process for training and development projects, going beyond user experience (UX) to learner experience (LX). Their approach focuses on gathering the perspective of stakeholders and learners throughout the solution design process, ensuring that the final product meets the needs of all involved. Filled with practical tools and hands-on examples, this primer will get you started on your own journey to apply learner-centered design thinking to your solutions.

We love that this book is focused on keeping people at the heart of every learning solution. (We also love that one of its authors is TiER1 affiliate consultant, Sharon Boller!)
