TiER1 Impact has announced the acquisition of rapidLD, an Atlanta-based learning and talent management consulting firm. rapidLD is an established expert in the deployment and administration of learning and talent management systems, as well as in the development of the associated strategy and content development needed to evolve and upskill talent.
TiER1 Impact, parent company of strategy activation firm TiER1 Performance, is a newly-formed professional services and investment entity created to build on the organization’s successful acquisition history and build greater growth potential for acquired organizations. rapidLD is the first formal acquisition under the TiER1 Impact umbrella.
“As we looked toward growth for our team members and the services that we offer our clients, I saw TiER1 as a natural fit given our strong alignment with the TiER1 culture, relationships, and a value creation mindset,” reflected Jim Everidge. “We have a long relationship with TiER1 and its founders and see immediate synergies that will have a positive impact on our clients, partners, and channel relationships.”
rapidLD was founded in 1999 by Jim Everidge, Chris Terry, Reed Jones, Will Avery, and Steve Owens. The team has partnered with customers to gain maximum value from human capital technology investments. rapidLD provides full-spectrum support from upfront consulting, implementation, integration, content development, and operation support. They bring experience with hundreds of learning and talent implementations, as well as deep expertise in retail, manufacturing, and life sciences to customers like McDonald’s, Applied Materials, and WL Gore. Jim Everidge will continue to serve as President of rapidLD, a TiER1 Impact company.
“We’ve admired the business that rapidLD has grown into over the years,” noted Greg Harmeyer, CEO of TiER1. “They have taken a fairly straightforward business, learning and talent system implementation, and grown a full service offering that helps customers become successful as they move in their journey to better develop people. Very similar to our own strategy activation business—leveraging the resources of a variety of service delivery teams to provide a comprehensive set of solutions for their customers.”
The day-to-day operations of rapidLD will continue to operate as usual—providing the high level of value, results, and people-focused solutions that clients have come to expect from our teams. The acquisition brings 20 additional employees to TiER1 and adds rapidLD’s Atlanta-based office to TiER1’s network of offices.

UPDATE, July 2021:
Given the value we’ve seen we can generate for clients when bringing our broader services to the table, rapidLD will fully integrate with TiER1 Performance in Q4 of 2021. We’ll continue bringing the same breadth of services with the same team of talent—just with broader capabilities under the TiER1 Performance name.
