TiER1 Performance Solutions, LLC, a leader in strategy activation, headquartered in Covington, Kentucky, has announced the launch of TiER1 Impact, a professional services investment and development company. The newly formed TiER1 Impact will operate as the parent entity of TiER1 Performance and build on the organization’s history of successful acquisitions, extending the scope and accelerating the pace of acquisition and development.

“The purpose of TiER1 Impact is to enable healthy, high-performing business through purpose-driven, people-centric professional services firms,” said Greg Harmeyer, who will be CEO of TiER1 Impact. “We’ve shown through TiER1 Performance’s successful acquisition history that there are many professional services firms that have great growth potential but need additional support to both preserve their culture and relationships and scale up their offerings.”

Named to the Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest-Growing Companies for 14 consecutive years, fulfilling the certification requirements to become a Certified B Corporation in 2018, and being named as a member of the 2019 Best for the World organizations by B Labs, TiER1 is an employee-owned organization (ESOP). TiER1 Impact aims to build on healthy, people-centric practices, helping small firms preserve the high-trust cultures that make them attractive while also providing tools, practices, coaching, and resources to further grow and scale.

“There is a shortage of attractive exit opportunities for small consulting organizations,” shares Greg Harmeyer. “Too often, the only option looks like a financial transaction that can damage the culture of the business that made it attractive in the first place. Our aim is to build on the culture and trust that has made these businesses successful and add to it our own experiences on how to grow and scale healthy cultures.”

As TiER1 Impact grows, some acquired companies will be integrated into TiER1 Performance, while others will operate as distinct brands indefinitely.

Founded in 2002, TiER1 Performance is an employee-owned consulting firm that activates strategies through people. As a Certified B Corporation, TiER1 consults, designs, and builds people-centered business solutions that deliver meaningful, long-term success. TiER1 is a nationally recognized company that has helped over 300 of the world’s most successful corporate and government organizations. TiER1 has received a U.S. Chamber of Commerce Blue Ribbon Award, a PMI Small Business Award of Excellence, 21 Brandon Hall Excellence Awards, and 12 Best Places to Work awards (including three times on Inc.’s Best Workplaces list). TiER1 is a 14-time member of the Inc. 5000 (2007-2020).
